Annual Conference 2024

HKSA is pleased to announce that the 2024 version of the HKSA Annual Conference will take place at The Diamond, University of Sheffield from the 31st of May to the 1st of June 2024. 

With the theme of "Coproducing Hong Kong in a Global Context: Continuity, Rupture, and Toward the Unknown", this conference will gather Hong Kong studies scholars from across the country and abroad, to explore Hong Kong's past, present, and future. This conference will also feature a keynote from Professor Michaela Benson from the University of Lancaster, whose keynote will be on the topic of "Experiencing the coloniality of "Global Britain" from below: Hong Kongers and the citizenship-migration-asylum nexus after Brexit".
